The Beer Log (henceforth known as the BLog)

Beer Deluxe has been an education. Current likes are:
Rochefort 10, Duvel, and La Fin du Monde.

In that vein, I've decided to try some others, starting with what's available at the bottle shop near my apartment.

1. Cave Creek Chili Beer, Mexico - Novelty beer. It actually has a chili pepper at the bottom. Tastes like Corona, only instead of lime, there's a chili. Probably wouldn't drink it again, unless for the novelty factor with friends.

2. Sabor Autentico Super Bock, Portugal - Misleading name. Not actually a Bock, since it's so light in colour. More like a Lager? Very light and watery, so thumbs down.

3. Zywiec Jasne Pelne, Poland - Pretty normal, but with strong bitter aftertaste. Not for me.

4. Warka Strong, Poland - Interestingly, my bottle was past the best by date. Whoops. Not too bad. Would drink again.

5. Samuel Smiths Nut Brown Ale, England - Darn, I had it while playing boardgames so I don't remember that much about it except it was pretty good. Try again next time.

6. Redoak Organic Hefeweizen, Australia - Weird taste. Started light and sweet, then later on sour. A bit citrusy, like a sour orange. Not something I would try again.

7. Redoak Organic Pale Ale, Australia - Again with the Redoak Organic. Ugh. I was hoping for better, but it's about the same as the hefeweizen. Citrusy and sour. Not for me.

8. Young's Double Chocolate Stout, England - Split a bottle with 24. Pretty nice. Smelled like bitter chocolate and a little bit of coffee. Tasted the same. Will definitely try again.

17. Maredsous Abbaye Abdij Tripel 10, Germany - Bit too strong alcohol taste for my liking. Started well, but was kinda sick of it by the end.
